Guest guest
- We blamed it on their seizure meds but, I think a lot of mito kids have difficulty sleeping in general though. Lindsey is the big culprit as she wakes often for hours in the middle of the night. She's now become spoiled from months of putting her in bed with us so she still wakes up but, goes right back to sleep as soon as I put her in our room. I kicked her out of our bed so she now has her own little bed on our floor. We also tried Benadryl at first but, didn't see any difference. Melatonin is natural as it's produced by the brain so I don't feel bad about giving it to them. While giving them Benadryl, I felt like I was drugging them. You can find Melatonin with the over-the-counter vitamins. I actually get mine at Wal- Mart. We struggled with this for months before seeking help. I was literally a walking zombie. The girls will be three on October 3rd. I can't believe they are going to be three already. We still call them our babies! Good luck and I hope this will help you all get a good night's sleep!
