Guest guest
Mayo does take Iowa Med and shouldn't be a problem for you. We just recently started receiving it and are transitioning from just insurance to that plus the Iowa Med. We also just heard that Zipporrah looks like she will be placed on the brain injury waiver waiting list soon as well. It could be as late as next March before she is active, but we are on catastrophic for our insurance until January and if Iowa Med goes at least 3 months back (which they did for Asenath) then it will be great timing. It has really relieve some of the financial burden having Iowa Med! It will make a big difference for Zipporrah to have it as well for us for future years. We do get COQ10 and most of Asenath's meds from Mayo and it has been very convenient to do so. They either send it to us through the mail or we pick it up while we are there. Either way, it is nice having it from Mayo as I know I can trust their products. (Not that Hy Vee isn't ok. ) Hope your trip to Adventureland was fun. I would love to go there but know it wouldn't work out this summer as it would be too much for Zipporrah and with her sensory issues she would be quite upset without me if we chose to use a babysitter. Maybe next year. The girls are holding their own but dealing with Asenath's regular vomiting, tummy aches, headaches, and another stroke episode the other day are frustrating. It can be hard sometimes to see her slowly getting worse. The change is obvious to Dean and I and it scares us a little. I just try to focus on today and not think much about tomorrow. Although I don't want to hide from the future either. Understand? Sorry to pout here. Hope I am not depressing you. I hope you have a nice sweaty day too!!! LOL Just opening the door is oppressive but also kind of nice at least COMPERED TO THE WINTERS HERE! Darla Re: Re: Kim- Swimming-Darla Hey Darla. I bet you are glad dance recitals are done! I know that can be quite an undertaking. Especially having more than one participating. I use The Respite Connection for respite. I asked my respite provider if the owner staffs nurses and she wasn't sure. I will give her a call today and ask her. If she does, I will forward you her phone number. I was impressed with how quickly they found someone for us. The girls really like her and I am starting to feel more comfortable with her. It's hard leaving my babies in someone else's care. We went to Adventureland with the older two the other day and my husband and I felt guilty leaving the twins at home. We have taken them every other time we have gone so it just didn't seem right. It was nice though to be able to go on all the rides with the older ones instead of taking turns.I hope you guys get your poison ivy issues taken care of! What a mess and nuisance. Thank goodness the little girls are not affected.BTW, I finally heard back from Hy-Vee and they are going to compound the girls' cocktail for me. I need to see if they can order the CoQ10 from Tischon for me. If not, you said you get yours through Mayo pharmacy, correct? Do they take Iowa Medicaid?Have a great, hot and humid day today. I just love summers in Iowa...Kim
