Evaluating the Effectiveness of Workplace Safety &

Health Interventions: A Participatory Workshop

Thursday, January 26, 9:00 am –

5:00 pm at the Portland

Marriott Downtown Waterfront

This

participatory workshop will use case studies to demonstrate the tools necessary

to address typical problems encountered in promoting and maintaining workplace

safety and health and community health for farmworkers. Case studies include:

examine a problem and to suggest potential causal relationships

design an intervention to measure the suspected causal factors and presumed

intervention

evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention

workshop is suitable for migrant clinic staff, promotoras, outreach workers,

health educators, clinicians, as well as occupational safety and health
