Guest guest
It really depends on the person, Mara. Like always. Even at 30mg of prednisone I felt more or less normal. Now I'm on 5mg and don't feel different then before steroidsHang in thereYana So, for those of you who have taken steroids before, how long does it take before this stuff gets out of your system? I'm on day 3 of my tapering week - the dose has been cut tons and tons, and half the time I still feel like I'm in a cyclone. Bizarro. Guest guest
I think it depends on the person, how much you were put on and how fast you've tapered off of them. I've been on then TONS and it's horrible (for me) every time. My body takes a while to really show the reactions (except for insomnia and anger/depression - that's usually pretty instant). For ME, it takes a while before the side effects go away (usually about the same amount of time as I was on them). And different effects go away at different times. Moon face and joint pain are usually the last to go away (for me). I know they suck (I was unable to get off them for 11 years STRAIGHT!) but the side effects DO go away. I try to look at the bright side because for me, being on them for that long made me a lot more sensitive to knowing whether my mood was influenced by outside sources. I do hope you're off them soon though and that you feel better!
