Guest guest
I had the switch May 15. Since then, I've had severe diarrhea and had to be re-hospitalized for dehydration for 4 more days. I'm home now, but still having severe diarrhea, even with all of the meds they have me on. The drs. are hoping my new insides will adapt and it will go away. If not, I have to have more surgery to lengthen my bowel, This is a first for my drs. They think it might be a result of my having Irritable Bowel Syndrome pre-op. Has anyone here experienced this? And if so, what did your dr. do? Thanks for any info you can give me. My life the last 2 weeks has been in a recliner, to the bathroom, and back. I'm getting very depressed about this. If you can help, please write me privately (lilhandsdc@...) as I'm on no mail for the list. TIA! Mickyco-owner KoalityKare "Quality childcare isn't expensive. Guest guest
Dear Micky, I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I personally have not had my surgery yet, but I do want to offer my sympathy for your discomfort. I will be praying for you and hope you'll be feeling better soon! Sincerely, a diarrhea-please help! Guest guest
Hi Mickey, I am sorry to hear you are having problems. I hope Dr. G can turn them around for you. I will be having my DS on 6/12 with him. I noticed you are not getting a lot of responses here on your plea for help. Have you signed up for the DS_Postop_Problems support group. I joined that and just lurk since I have not had the surgery, but I am learning a lot regarding complications and how to help resolve various issues.Give it a try. Hope you feel better soon. > I had the switch May 15. Since then, I've had severe diarrhea and had to be re-hospitalized for dehydration for 4 more days. Guest guest
Hi - I wish I could help you but I didn't experience diarrhea. Alot of people talked about fibercon helping. What are you eating? Maybe that will help us to see something. Ellen(Pam
