Stephane,

Girl I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO feel your pain!! I am also

almost 28, and I wear a size 28-32 depending on the

cut. Talk about hard to find. I know department

stores are carrying more and more nice stuff for fat

chicks but nothing over a 24. Sickening. Here is

what I have found.

Lane : Their clothes are more trendy but not

always cut flatteringly for us big girls. However,

they also have EXCELLENT sales. And very hip trendy

clothing. Tip: Their pants run a bit small. They

technically only go up to a 28 but most of their

shirts fit me. They also have GREAT lengerie!

Avenue: If you weed through the grandma stuff they

also have some great trendy wear. These sizes go

bigger and their clothes usually FIT better. You dont

feel like as much of a sausage stuffed into the

clothes. HOWEVER, they do tend to strech and sag in

places if you don't have the big upper belly, or a

generous cup size. I am only a C cup and a lot of

thier tops are too big in the boob area.

Those are really the only two places I shop. I will

catalog shop some, but not much. If there isnt an

Avenue in your neck of the woods try www.avenue.com I

know you said you like to " feel " the fabric, I am the

same way, but if you find you don't like the feel of

something, send it back, I usually get two sizes too

so I can try them both on and then I send the one that

doesnt fit back. They are very good about it.

Happy Hunting, and just remember, we are on this list

so one day we wont have to find specific stores to

shop at. Can you imagine going in to a Limited and

buying whatever you want?

I am 32 and have been dealing with the same delima for years. I love

some stuff at the Avenue but I never seem to find the same sorts of

things when I go back. They do have nice pants and I have been able

to find the same style more than once in a season but the tops are

always changing so drastically. This season everything seems to be

short tops that are clingy. I dont look good like that. I have small

boobs compaired to my hips and need something that evens things out.

I loved the J.Jill catalog when I was in the size range. I look

forward to shopping there again. I'm a 26-28 now but I am post op so

I hope that I will be in a sixe 22 by fall when I plan on getting

some work clothes. I know everyone tells you not to buy clothes post

op because you cant wear them long. I just dont think I can resist.
