b12 injections

I get a monthly B-12 injection (which isn't enough to keep your

levels up) and I also do a daily B-12, but I get the B-12 from

Trader Joe's. The one from bariatric advantage and from the other

company I get vitamins from is NASTY and takes forever to dissolve.

The TJ's one dissolves in just a couple of seconds and is tiny and

is cherry flavored.

Delaina, not to assume that you aren't aware of this...but you DO know that the B12 sublingual is something you place under your tongue, and you let it dissolve, right? I mean, you don't chew it, because it is pretty nasty if you do that. It could be a matter of taste, but I don't find them particularly offensive, so I was wondering whether you might be taking them improperly?

My sister wants to know, of those of you that are post-op, if you take the B-12 daily, twice weekly, or how often? I'm not real sure what she's been doing so far, but I am under the impression she's taking it 2 times per week. Seems to me it should be more...

They say to take it twice weekly but most people recommend taking it

daily. You can't get your B-12 too high!

I took mine 2x a week, but to help the energy, I started taking them everyday. They are water soluble so it poses no danger to take them more often (so sayeth my surgeon.)

I was taking the sublingual as recommended by Dr Fisher, only twice a

week, but my labs showed I was low, so I started doing injections

monthly instead. Now Im doing monthly injections and a sublingual

everyday.

I have been taking B-12 twice weekly since surgery in May. I had blood

work done in June by my pcp. I was concerned about being anemic since

I've had problems in the past. Both my pcp and Dr Dutta said my iron

and B-12 were fine. I'm not sure that blood work taken 3 - 4 weeks

after surgery would show me being low in either.. does anyone know?

I see people on here posting about taking iron but I haven't started

although I do think I should do it on my own even though both doctors

said I was fine.

Thanks to everyone who replied about the B-12. She seems to be pretty energenic and getting along fine so far. We'll see what her blodd work says.
