Guest guest
There is a recipe (I may have asked a long, long time ago) that I had pre-scd. It was a few different dried fruits (one was fig, I remember that for sure) and you can freeze it in a freezer box. It does not get hard though, it's spreadable like jam and supposedly if you spread it on toast, that's all one would need for constipation. This was posted on a crohn's disease support forum but I'm sure there is a recipe similar to it here if I could find it/ I do not recall any sweetener added to it either but it's been several years (and a computer) ago. Thanks, Debbie 40 cd

You'll need to put some of the fairly dry fruits, like figs, e.g., in a little water before you start to simmer them (in a pan on the stove). I'm talking about fresh fruits, not dried. Such jam does get thick, and tastes fabulous because the fruit essence gets really concentrated. n-- Now available.
