We just started putting Grace into the pool this year, last year she was terrified. We have noticed something strange with her, though. Every time she puts her face in the water she will then jerk back, choke and usually vomit. I do not think she swallows water, if she does it is very little. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this? She does have alot of reflux problems, so I though it may just be a reaction to the water causing reflux. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

my son started swimming last year for therapy and he still does this . I have noticed it sometimes depends on the day and what he is feeling. Somedays he can't handle anyone touching him, he can't even handle the feel of water. his neuro dr. says it is there body and there senses overreacting. the throwing up is just part of the disease. of course that is what i have been told

Logan has his ups and downs and it gets frustrating. I hope you keep taking Grace to the pool it really helps. sincerely,
