Hi all,

I have been awol from the group for awhile...I have to catch up, and seeing some of the subject lines from the post few days, I better hurry :)

I saw Dr Legha on 8/17. I had lost 15.5 pounds since my meeting with Dr. Stiles on 6/23. Dr Legha had said I had about 20 more punds to go! When I mentioned Dr Stiles said I only had to lose 20 lbs, he checked my file and was ready to schedule me! I am down 21 lbs now...

Unforuntely, with work, I am pretty much limited to December, so I have an appt on 10/7 with Dr Gorrin. Dr Legha said he was leaving the group, and I would have a new Dr. So hopefully, I can be scheduled, or at least wait for the calendar to come out once I meet with Dr Gorrin ( I think that's his name)

I am kind of doing this all by myself at the moment. My aunt is concerned, and her support always comes with "but..." (Like when I told her I was hoping to be scheduled in December, she mentioned that was a bad time of year for her...oh well) I have pared down my "friends" to two. There were a lot of people in my life that just weren't good for me.. not that they are bad people, just not the kind of people I want to be around. I havent seen those two friends in a while either - group events (same circle of people) and 3 hour dinners just arent my thing!

I have found a creative side - I have done so much scrapbooking its incredible! I have also ventured into jewelry making and glass decoration, even made a mosaic table. It's keeping me busy - but it's starting to get lonely.

Is the get together still on? Can anyone recommend a hotel? A co-worker lives in Santa Cruz, so I think I may make a weekend of it.. (If my pocketbook allows that is...lol!!)

Oh well, thats me.. just chugging along! I have read so many posts - congrats to all! Robynn mentioned her jean drawer in one of her posts! One of my goals - I cant wait to have a jean drawer! I don't havr one currently - fire hazard :)

Daun, hang in there. You will find some people that

share the same likes and hobbies that you do. Too

often we feel on this journey that we are alone but we

soon discover that that is far from what is true. We

start to disengage and remove ourselves from company

of people that we know don;t truly have our best

interest at heart even though their intentions were

good.

I went through some changes with this process but it

was for the better. I never liked to be by myself and

therefore I always had one person that I clung to.

When I had to lose the 10%, I found myself going to

lunch by myself and when I had the surgery the only

two people that came to see me was and Robynn.

There were plenty of people at my job that knew that I

was having this surgery. Not one card from any of

them (coworkers) and people that I talked to outside

of work. I got so much support right here at this

group and for that I am thankful. People say they are

happy for you but you might find that to be different

as time passes on. I am alright with that. I have

learned so much about who I am and finding my way on

this journey. I am so glad I had this procedure.

Sorry to ramble on and on. I wish you luck with your

process.
