Guest guest
Danine, Welcome to the group. The things I took to my consult were: 1.Chronological diet history with documentation 2.List of co-morbidities (with documentation if you have it- this can be sent later) 3.Family history of obesity and co-morbidities 4.List of questions. In regards to how long you will stay in town after the surgery. This really depends on who your surgeon is and if you have the DS open or Lap. We travelled on Sunday from San Diego to Portland OR. Monday was spent doing the final consult and pre-op things at the hospital. I had my Lap DS on Tuesday morning 1/23/01 with Dr . I was out of the hospital Thurs noon and on the plane home Saturday morning. We spent 6 nights in an nice, inexpensive hotel near the hospital. We rented a car for the first couple of days and then my husband walked to the hospital after that. I took a cab to the hotel after getting out of the hospital and then we took a cab to the airport. It really was a smooth trip. Best of luck to you. Let me know if there'e anything else I can answer for you.
