Guest guest
Becky, One of the challenges with all the meds we're on is that the flora in our intestines gets totally bent. I use Liquid Acidophyllus that I get from the health food store. One tbsp is all it takes, and the diarrhea stops. This is the same stuff in yoghurt- without the milk issue. You can also take it in capsule form, but it doesn't work quite as fast. It will also kill any yeast infection before it gets a hold! Do drink plenty of water, so it doesn't make you constipated. When I'm on antibiotics, I take a tbsp 3 -4 times a day. Works wonders! Sincerely, Tracie NS co-owner/moderator

Guest guest
Does acidophyllus milk work the same way? I would stay away from the milk-- as milk products can create alot of problems in the way of diarrhea. I've found that I can do so much better with RICE DREAM-- it's a ricemilk product, and I don't have the lactic acid problems, or the joint pain that comes with milk and dairy products. (It actually tastes good too! ) I just use the Liquid Acidophyllus (lacto-bacillius) in the Strawberry Honey flavor-- it's not bad.) This is what they put into the starter for yoghurt.
