Guest guest
I don’t mean for this to be a downer subject, however I think it’s important. My husband took a trip to LA in Calif. this past weekend. My husband brought his laptop so we could update our wills, I figured we would crash for sure with the will in the Laptop before he had a chance to save or print itJ But as you see we didn’t, however one question my husband asked me, really made me think, he asked me if I wanted to donate my organs, and I just looked and him and said, are you kidding they wouldn’t even take my organs, then a light bulb went on, I told him that I wanted him to put in my will that I would like my body donated to science “for” Sarcoid research only. He too thought that was a great idea. Maybe if we all do that they can help find answers and help others down the road. Even though I pray that I will be around long enough to see my grandchildren, one never really knows what tomorrow brings. Just a thoughtJ Marla " Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible "

I didn't think about anything until it was too late. A person needs to make his/her wishes known, so that the survivors know what to do. I think of the possibility of Steve's death helping all of you, and it makes me really sad. The State of Oregon Nurses licenseing bureau is investagating Steve's death. Nothing anyone can do except stop the caregiver of ever treating anyone else like she did Steve. So many items on his computer he wrote concerning her. How he didn't get pain meds until the pain got severe, and nothing to eat or drink until late in the day. I worry about all of you, and wish for pain free days. Love you all. Guest guest
Marla, This is one that and I have spent some time discussing also. Like you, I'd like my body to be put to use to figure out this disease. They can always cremate the remains after they harvest whatever they need to show what happens with sarc. Then he can still send me to the wind. Love to all, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderator
Guest guest
Marla and Tracie,I too have discussed with my family but they are against it. I know I can do what I want but I want to leave this world in peace and not traumatize them. I think it is a wonderful idea and I will keep working in that direction with my husband and children (youngest is 20). Part of the problem is that an uncle died of pancreatic cancer and left his body for "pancreatic cancer" research. His head ended up in Washington state being used for the military (force tests with helmet attached) and so on...I know this is gross but just want to say they specified "pancreatic" research but he was split and sent a dozen different directions and NOT used for what he had wanted. Guest guest
What about checking into only donating the internal organs & having the body (head included) to the funeral home for burial or whatever. I wonder if we can do this?.............Connie --- Mac Tosh macandtosh626@...> wrote: > Marla and Tracie, > I too have discussed with my family but they are > against it. Guest guest
I asked my s Hopkins doctor how I could help in this area. I am now in a research study (involving genetics) and gave blood for DNA testing. Right now it's all I can do but it's something.
