Guest guest
Good afternoon, Carsen had his 6mth cardiology check up and are pleased to announce that his interventricular septum is no longer hypertrophied and his function is much better! His hole is also closed. Although, she made a new discovery. He has a coronary anomaly. He has a coronary that goes between the pulmonary artery and the aorta. She said it was an extra one ( I think....instead of 2 there's 3). The cardiologist says that she thinks we can wait a while to work this up. Just wondering what exactly this means? We have a great cardiologist but she doesn't like to give too much detail. She knows that I get worried really easy ( like I am now ). Carsen "looks" great.. so I'm not overly concerned but just curious as to what this could mean or if it's even significant. How do you "work up" something like this? Does anyone have any information on coronary anomolies? Has it ever been linked to metabolic/mitochondrial disorders? Thanks! I dont know if it is realted to mito or the fact that I had gestational diabetes. He has no right superior vena cava, his is on the left and it drains into the coronary sinus. Also he has seperate hepatic drainage.
