Hi Marilyn:

I am troubled by constant constipation and have tried so many things. Was using flax formula and it worked so well but, it caused severe bloating and I had to stop this week to give my system a break.

I feel I need a good cleanout. Would appreciate directions for the

miralax/gatoraide(or sub) procedure. TIA :-)))

Keep in mind that flax seed is not legal and will only exacerbate the

issue.

Well cooked vegetables -- especially pureed! -- are more digestable and

will give you the bulk you think you need. I alternated between soft,

mushy stool that just wouldn't come out and sudden urgency when it came

out when I didn't want it to. Steamed, peeled zucchini (courgettes)

really helped me with this. THe cooked vegetable smoothies I've mentioned

on here are very helpful to me.

I've never used Miralax -- someone else will have to chime in on this.

When I had to do a clean-out for my cancer surgery and for my

colonoscopy, I was prescribed four bisacodyl tablets as a heavy-duty

laxative three hours before I started drinking the Trilyte. (Trilyte,

without the flavor packets is legal). Bisacodyl has not one, but FOUR

illegals in it. But I was able to find the stool softener which my

surgeon prescribed (can't find the bottle at the moment; I think it's a

generic) which was at least close to legal.
