Guest guest
I am amazed! Medicaid approved our son's power chair, he will be able to leave the house again, and maybe want to get out of bed. I can't wait to call the place in the morning and let them know we got approved, I feel like a kid at Christmas, this chair is going to give some "Life" back to my child. I was so scared I was going to have to fight with Medicaid, last week Medicaid faxed the wheel chair place to ask more questions. Plus this was the second place we dealt with, the first felt we wouldn't get approval so they just didn't send in the paperwork and gave me the run around till I said forget it. Plus the first PT was NOT in favor, she refused to even listen and be educated on Mito by the MD doc! The second PT, LOL, I went in armed with stuff, and then it turns out he KNEW about mito. I think I'll send him a thank you card, he didn't just answer the questions, he explained them which is probably why we got the chair, like yes he can use a manual chair but only for a few feet then he gets tired. That is so important, they have to see that a cheaper manual isn't going to work. Just thought I would share since I had talked to some of you about this in the chat room.
