Guest guest
What exactly do you mean by a food mill -- does it filter out skins and seeds from apples, etc? I spent a lot of time and energy straining things and would consider a food mill if this is what it can do... what else does it do and what brand ? Guest guest
Here's some info on what a food mill is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_mill The one I have is from Oxo, and it has 3 different grinding discs, (fine, medium, and course texture). If you run a butternut squash through the fine disc, it removes all the fiber and it comes out like baby food. I also have an apple peeler/corer which is really cool! I whip though apples and pears really fast with that thing :-). The one I have looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/Back-Basics-Apple-Potato-Peeler/dp/B0000DE2SS/ref=sr_1_1?i\ e=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1259992560&sr=1-1 Holly Crohn's SCD 12/01/08 > > >> My mom runs the cranberry sauce through a food mill.
