thanks for the info. It was wonderful remembering Mattie on cnn!

I missed it 2 years ago. So sorry for your lose and so awed by what his family did to increase awareness on mito! He was so special in his 2002 interview!

Kathy

Mom to Bart now 14 with severe autsim and probable mito-pyruvate dehydronase disorder due to high lactate acid levels. Maybe someday that will be diagnosed for his reasons that gave him a neurological disorder. Mattie was so cool to say continue to fund for future children that are affected.

Also Mom to my pride and joy daughter that is 15 and had a baby. I am a grandma.

As I watch the baby I also think this is how my son was... perfect in every way until 17 months of age.

Sorry for your loss. Thanks for getting exposure.

I too wept with the rest of the world when I read that Mattie had left us and gone on to a place far more peaceful. How his mother must miss him already. As soon as I heard I knew I must buy the rest of Mattie's books as I am sure they will be in short supply. If anyone is interested, on Ebay there is one of his books up for auction that has been signed by Mattie. I would love to have it, but I know it is going to go for a great deal of money. It is listed under the books section and is auction number 7907226750.

I will pray for Mattie's mother as I know all of you are. The world has lost a great ambassador of peace.

Kathy, grandma to Audrey, 34mos

Every Morning I watch GMA (Good Morning America), Today was NO

different. However, this morning they displayed news that broke my

heart. I just KNEW when they mention Mattie... that he was going to

be on today. I was excited until the moment I realized that below

his name was 1990-2004... My heart lurched out of my chest.

I just couldn't believe that Mattie was gone. A fighter and a hero.

An Amazing Kid. At least now he can play pain, illness, tube, and

wheelchair free!!! For those left behind, he left us his heart

songs... the ones he is now singing in heaven.

Thank you Mattie for being who you are... YOu taught me that this

illness cannot beat us unless we let it. You were truely my hero!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I'm sorry... This is the only place I knew to go to pay my

respects...

Love,

Dorothy

Mom to Kristi, 11 Kaci 8, and 6 (possible Mito) ~should have

the results any day from the Muscle Biopsy~
