Sorry I don't have any info. for you on these results, but I'm interested in any info you or your doc's may come up with regarding the hydroxyisobutyric levels. Maddie's 3-hydroxybutyric and hydroxyisobutyric were elevated in her labs last year, and no-one really knew what it meant. TIA.

Urine organic Acids results

I had an urine organic acids test done early May and just got the results back. Can anyone interupt them for me? It says: showed an elevation of 3-Hydroxyisobutyric Acid, which may be present with ketosis or 3-Hydroxyisobutyric Aciduria. Recommend correlate clinically and repeat with filter paper blood spot for Biotinidase determination if indicated. Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
