Guest guest
The results for my gallium scan are in. I discussed them with my family doctor yesterday. As some of you may know, the scan is done several times over a period of 2 or 3 days. On the second day the scan was normal. On the third day it showed uptake of the gallium in and around the center of my chest, deep inside. It was considered a normal result but neither was it " typical sarcoidosis. " In fact, according to my GP they are not sure what the results mean. Any ideas out there? II'll be speaking to my internist or my neurologist soon to see what their interpretation is. Guest guest
, I would request that they do a bronchoscopy, and see what is in that area. It's probably lymphnodes that are swollen-- or it could be the area outside of the lungs where they attach to the spine--- and that could be why it's showing up and your back gives you such pain. When my MD looked at my original chest xray and ct-- he was sure I had advanced lung cancer. Nothing looked like "typical sarcoidosis." The pulmonologist did the bronch- and that was when it was finally confirmed as Stage 3 pulm sarc. We backed it down to Stage 2-- then after 2 yrs on high dose pred-- he took me off the pred, and I had 5 -ok- years-- then it went nuts and systemic, and here we are today. Guest guest
Forgive me for butting in, but when they did my broncoscopy my bronchial tubes were full of granulomas and were causing the severe restriction on my breathing....Connie --- tiodaat@... wrote: > , > I would request that they do a bronchoscopy, and see > what is in that area. > It's probably lymphnodes that are swollen-- or it > could be the area outside of > the lungs where they attach to the spine--- and that > could be why it's showing > up and your back gives you such pain. > > When my MD looked at my original chest xray and ct-- > he was sure I had > advanced lung cancer.
