Guest guest
Dear , I was very concerned about the possible foul smelling stools and gas that the DS website lists as a surgical " side effect " . I am 5 weeks post-op today and I have to honestly tell you that it is really a non- issue for me. The first few days post-op I had loose stools (watery) almost every 1- 3 hours. After that I became pretty " regular " within 10 days post-op and I now find that I go 1-2 times (within 30 minutes) each a.m. when I get up and sometimes, but very rarely in the late evening before bed (about 4-5 hours after dinner). I usually have some gas (farting) during the BM but not usually any other time. The smell of my BMs are quite lethal but I find that if I " flush as I go " then spray with a good air freshener (I use Ozium), it is enough to " clear the air " for the next user. I have never tried Devrom but alot of folks on this e-group swear by it. Any other questions, please ask. Jane J.
