help it can't be cold season

HI Barbara,

That happened to me once before surgery. I took vitamin c and zinc and it nipped it before it happened. If you do that just don't take them at the same time because the vitamin c will cancel out the zinc.

hi everyone..I have a question I am hoping someone can

help.. I go in on Friday for my pre op.I am scheduled

for surgery on next Wednesday. Everyone around me has

a cold..My throat is feeling wierd, and nose is a tiny

bit stuffy...what kind of check up do we get? I am

hoping extra vit c helps.It is not a cold yet not sure

if it will become a cold.I am just going to panic..

help any advise!!!

I know that the Anesthesiologist had me open my mouth and looked

inside, but it was from across the desk! I would take some

echinaccia (sp?) ASAP! And, the kind I used to take before surgery

was the children's gummy bear type--echinaccia and vitamin C--I got

it at Target, but I think I have seen it at Raley's or Safeway,

also. I used to eat almost the entire bottle if I felt a cold coming

on, and by the next day--I would feel fine! It's not sugar-free, so

I don't recommend this if you are diabetic! Good Luck!

Hi Ramona.. Thank you so much.. I am heading to the

store right now before work..I appreciate your

advice,waiting this long I can't think about having to

cancel the operation.. Thanks again I am on my way.

Hey Barbara, this brought back flashes of my time. I

got a cold the day before my surgery and yes they will

cancel you. Mines ended up getting canceled beccause

they had a emergency cancer patient surgery that they

needed the OR for. I was upset but it was just as

well because later that day I got blasted with a cold

that lasted a week and that was how long I had to wait

for my surgery (one week). I took airborne, vitamin C

and Zinc but it did not help me. I hope you have

better luck and I wish you well on your up coming

surgery.

I would recommend AIRBORNE...that stuff works wonders to help you

avoid the cold. Was developed by a school teacher who was tired of

getting sick everytime a child came in sick....anyways...has always

worked for me...and I think they use aspartame to sweeten it.

If you really feel the sniffles coming on, stop intake on all dairy

products. They are mucus producers, so it would materialize into a cold

faster. I have done this for years now since I used to get chronic

bronchitis. Now I have been cold and broncial free for 8 years!!!

Loading up on the C helps a bit, try getting some Airborne, that works

too.

Yes airborne,Vit C and Water.........Sleep Well and try not to stress your self out.....

, do you use it every day until you get well, or

even better, decide you're not getting sick? Or is it

a one day only thing?
