Flying home the next day?

You're flying home the NEXT day??? I seriously doubt a surgeon (of any type of surgery) would allow you to fly back home the next day. Was that a typo? You will not be able to physically do it. I'd think you'd be so out of it...walking alone and you are going to be hooked up to things. I hope this was a typo because I really don't see how this would work out for your own safety!

Donna,

Are you seriously flying home (or planning to) the day after

surgery? Doesn't your Dr. expect you to spend a few days in the

hospital? What about all the stuff you'll be hooked up to

immediately after the operation?

Have other people been released from the hospital that soon?

I'm scheduled to have DS surgery June 19, and expect to stay in the

hospital until June 21st or so.

What about follow ups with the Dr.? Drainage tubes? Anything that

would make you hang around the hospital for more than 24 hours?
