Guest guest
If I asked this before, I apologize. It sounds crazy but I am going to ask anywayHas anyone felt like they have had an excess amount of fluid coming like almost flowing into your head and built up between the inside of your skull and the brain? ( I am thinking spinal fluid coming up out of the spine) Then it flows down the back and just goes into your system (and if it gets really excessive flows down sides of head and face and burns). This has happened after a good fall down the stairs hitting my head on the railing. It has been about a month now and it has seemed to lessen or go away. I didn't pass out or anything. Of course none of the doctors believe me. They think I am nuts and think its anxiety. One even said I am too much medication and started weaning me off of drugs. I know this all sounds crazy. I don't have any other symptoms of hydrocephalus (sp?) Just a bit of dizziness and it bothers my eyes at times and headache. (Like blurrieness but not quite almost like the feeling of crossing them) Its gets worse if I lay down , better I am standing. I have to prop myself up at night. I have seen my pcp and my neurologist. They have done a ct scan and mri and nothing shows up they tell me. My neurologist says he doesn't know what it is and can't help me and that's all. He said that right to my face! My PCP kinda smiled and smirked like he thought it was funny. I am thinking of getting a second opinion from a neuro but I would have to get a referral from my PCP.So anyway I thought I would throw it out here and see if anyone has heard of it at all. Guest guest
Deb, It does concern me because of the potential of hydrocephalus and encephalitis as well as meningitis. The spinal system is totally enclosed. The sheath that wraps around the brain, and brain stem, then along the spine is all enclosed. so it can't leak out. I wonder of you have fluid in your sinuses and ears that may be flowing from your ears-- giving you the dizziness (inner ear infections or just even severe congestion) can do that. Maybe a visit to ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) guy wouldn't hurt. I'll try to look some stuff up--and see if we can get a clue. That way the MD's can eat crow-- again. Love to you, Tracie
