Guest guest
Has anyone ever had to go before an appeal board with their insurance company and if so, what did you say on your behalf and what information did you provide to the board over and beyond what has been provided to them in the previous three appeal letters? I am basically basing my argument on the obesity/morbid obesity differences. My insurance company has an exclusion for any treatment relating to obesity, including surgery. They don't say anything about morbid obesity. I have appealed three times and have one more chance in front of the board. They stand by their exclusion saying that obesity includes all definitions of obesity including morbid obesity. Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me? Post-op 10 weeks. -60 lbs. If you lose your appeal it will be too late to get help. in Seattle ----- Original Message ----- > Has anyone ever had to go before an appeal board with their insurance > company and if so, what did you say on your behalf and what > information did you provide to the board over and beyond what has > been provided to them in the previous three appeal letters?
