Guest guest
Do any of you that are having the eye flares have swelling in you eye lids? It is in the inner upper eye lid. I go through this with each eye flare. I do the warms soak (althought cold feels better) but eye doc can't tell me anythine else to do. It is better in the morning, but by the end of the day it looks like I've been hit in the eye. Also have a lot of dark area under my eye this time. It almost looks like I have a black eye. I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem? Had Remicade on Monday. Problems with IV, but other than that ok. Didn't spike the temp this time as in the past. I think it has helped the bone pain a little but my eye is still swollen. I know I need to give it a few days..but gee I am losing patience. So much to do and so little " good feeling " time!! Take care all... Ruth > > > > Tracie, > > Let us know how you make out at the eye doctors. I hate it when my > eye > > flares. Guest guest
Ruth, Have him put you on Restasis drops. These are by prescription-- but work very well for the inflammation. also, if you aren't using artificial tears thruought the day-- do so. It will help. Guest guest
Well, when my eye flares, I get a dull pain around my orbit, light hurts and usually my vision is affected. I get more floaters and sometimes, new strands of them. My ophthamologist lets me treat my symptoms myself as I've been doing this for awhile. I get uveitis fairly frequently. There is a web site, ask Dr. . He is an occular immunologist and will answer questions. There is also a wealth of info on his web site. I think it's uveitis.com. That being said, if it's not your usual problem, it should be evaluated by an ophthamologist. I am not a steroid responder (glaucoma) but many people are. Uveitis is a sight threatening development of sarcoidosis for some people. Bonnie B
Guest guest
I use an eye ointment at night. It helps quite a bit. I also have drops that I use during the day. Nothing seems to help the light sensitivity and headaches except steroids, but can't up my dose. -W. > > Ruth, > > Have him put you on Restasis drops. Guest guest
Thanks for your replies. Yep, my eyes are definitely flares. I've had these problems since 2000. They always gave other reasons for them. I get my eyes checked by an ophthomologist/neurologist every year. So far, no problems other than mild cataracts. But I have to where these wierd, big sunglasses. My kids think I look so dorky! Oh well. Nice to know why my eyes have been hurting all these years. - > > Well, when my eye flares, I get a dull pain around my orbit, light hurts and > usually my vision is affected.
