Guest guest
This is absolutely HORRIFYING! I can't believe that someone could get their child taken away for not feeding them crap. What a nightmare this must have been for the parents. - > > I just read this article on a boy in the UK who was removed from his > mother to foster care because she refused to give him junk food! > > http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,579297,00.html > > However, what we read about social workers around here, this isn't as > far-fetched as it seems. > >
Guest guest
And did you all see this part:" said she was warned her parental rights could be removed if she took legal action."That child was gone from his parents for FOUR (4) months! The part that angers me (in addition to the rest of it) is the idea that fat gained from junk food could possibly be a solution to lack of weight from healthy muscle! If you ask me the majority of the medical profession has gone the way of the auto mechanic. No one really diagnoses anything, just hook the car up to the diagnostic computer and switch parts until the problem is resolved. Sound familiar? Keep trying drugs until the 'right' drug or combination of drugs are found to counter the symptoms. Forget about finding the cause, just treat the symptoms.Sorry for the outburst. I feel like I am part of dying breed. I just don't get how most people accept the illogical as logical. What we do for our health is so simple in its idea, yet so difficult to implement in the face of so much commercial rubbish--busy lives, fast food, sloppy everything because well, there is no time to investigate and do it right. Seems like everyone has something to sell to make our lives faster/more convenient so we can enjoy our free time. Only problem is that we are making ourselves so sick in the process, we can't really enjoy life anymore!Amelia
Guest guest
Amelia, I had to read your post to my husband, as it rings SO TRUE for me, especially the last paragraph where you said, “only problem is that we are making ourselves so sick in the process, we can't really enjoy life anymore!” I could not agree more.
