Guest guest
I've even thought about taking Josh off our insurance plan and tell them he doesn't have any insurance hey guess what,,,,,,, I would maybe get it ALL paid for. We were actually told to do this, from a county health worker. Our daughter has lost all the state wavier programs, been denied for Medicaid and SSI (they think we have money or something). Right now we are in panic mode. We do have very good private insurance which does cover her appointments and what not. Our problem is the 10-20 dollar copay on prescriptions. This may not seem like too much but multiply 20 dollars (very few come generic, none are formulary) by 11 prescriptions a month. We are going to have to start dishing out about 300 a month for just medications. From what the county health worker told me, if we cancel her from our insurance Medicaid has to insure her. We have not done it, and I will only if we absolutely need too. Is there anyone else at your local MDA you can talk too? I just started with them yesterday, and the worker was full of information on charities and special programs which will help us. She even said we would be able to get Gracies cooling vest from Moody Foundation. I guess she knows of a way to donate the money to Moody, so Grace can get her vest without having to wait any longer. Best wishes, try to hang in there.
