Guest guest
I've got a consultation date with Dr. Ren for DS surgery on June 25. I am excited and a bit nervous- NY is 2-1/2 hours away and I kinda feel out of my element there. From what I hear its about 2-1/2 months from consult to surgery with her, so maybe I'll get my surgery in early september. I'm also nervous because I have a lot of weight to lose - my BMI is 73- and I have a 16 month old baby that depends on me. These are the reasons I want to get the surgery, but at the same time they are the reasons I am scared. I guess being so isolated from everyone I know, so far away, in a hospital I've never been to. I don't really know the ins and out of what to expect from Dr. Ren. If I will wake up with tubes in my nose and throat or do they come out before I wake up. How she handles pain management. etc. - Maybe I will feel more at ease after the consult. in South Jersey
Guest guest
, I am in the D.C. area and know nothing about Dr. Ren. I just want to let you know that it is OK to be scared. For several weeks before my surgery, I was totally absorbed in the surgery and neglected my work. I was more and more scared as the days wore on. Up to the day before surgery when I was occupied with cleaning my bowels out and had no time to be scared.
