Guest guest
What about Kedem? I've never looked at the labels, but perhaps it doesn't have the ascorbic acid. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
If it is the kosher-for-Passover kind, it should not have any grain- derived additives, but could have, for instance, citric acid or sugars from citrus fruits (don't know if this is a problem). It's worth mentioning that Passover is coming up, and there are sometimes foods available that are normally made with corn or grains that are made without them during this period. Unfortunately, potato starch is not illegal during Passover. Guest guest
I looked at the kosher-for-Passover Kedem in the store yesterday, and it had several additives in it, one being ascorbic acid. It did not indicate whether it was made from concentrate or not. In our experience, most additives are derived from corn, though this is illegal during passover. They usually switch to citrus sources during passover. We're not going to take the chance though - we avoid all additives. Back to Knudsen's. Guest guest
Suzanne, Thanks for letting us know. When I tried to check the ingredients online, there was no information on the website that showed them. That's why I said maybe you could check it out and see. It wasn't the answer you were looking for, but now we know. Thanks for checking. Jody mom to -7 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
> It's very expensive, twice the cost of Welch's. At Sam's Club, in the US, it costs about $8 for 2 96 oz. bottles. Take care, Fay P.S. Minor detail - it's the only legal kosher grape juice.

I assume that the same concentrate issues that make Welch's grape legal adhere to Kedem too. Kedem is not a huge label, but is big in the kosher community, and the only option for SCDers. I would also speak to Mrs. Weiss of Digestive Wellness because I would bet that she is very much aware of any Kedem changes. No sugar, No sulfite, spreservatives, coloring or flavoring. kedem CONVENTIONAL grape juice has other ingredients. I am extremely chemically sensitive and get no reaction from Kedem ORGANIC . Read the label on the conventional ; it has concentrate and other additives. Carol F.
Guest guest
Hi, I recently caught onto the thread about Grape Juice. Not sure if this helps or not but two brands available from Whole Foods Avvio (two V's, not a W) and Glendale state no this, no that, no nothing just grapes, not from concentrate, Kosher and 100%organic. My 11yo dd drinks these weekly on Shabbat and holidays without any problem whatsoever. She's been SCD for over 4 years now so it's possible that she's just tolerating more, but my guess is that both brands are legal. Hope this helps! Marisol --------------------------------- New Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi Kuljit,I also buy Welch's 100% grape juice from Canada Safeway, both red and white varieties. It is legal, but don't forget to dilute it with water. Of course, response could vary by individuals, so start with a small glass and watch out for any adverse reaction.Vivien in Vancouver, BC I have got welch's 100% Grape Juice from concentrate with vitamin C is it legal i bought it from safeway canada there's two type in safeway one is green grapes and other is dark grapes are they both legal on the label it says no sugar added ingriedients grape juice water concentrated grape juice ascorbic acid_._,_.___ Reply to sender | Reply to group Messages in this topic (1) Recent Activity: New Members 10 Visit Your Group Start a New Topic MARKETPLACE Going Green: Your Yahoo!
