Guest guest
I was very intimidated about asking for LDN. I knew my local doctors would never consider it. I drove 2 hours to see a more alternative doc who gave me my first prescription. Unfortunately, he was hard to reach by phone and I could not drive 2 hours each way for follow ups and refills, so I used one who did consultations by phone. I believe the LDN list serve has such a list- that's where I got the information to find one. I still go to my regular docs for health care, but choose not to discuss LDN- they would toss me out of their offices. I never thought I would do this by phone- as I was always very traditional about medicine, but it went very well, was legitimate and professional, and best of all, not intimidating. For me, I feel I have to make some decisions, like diet and LDN on my own. It is good to be informed. PJ > > > > > > > I know a lot of people use LDN on this list. I have joined the LDN group also. I watch the posts. I read when it relates to Crohns/Colitis. I read the questions, have been doing this for awhile--several months. I still haven't made a decision regarding it. It's just me. I want to know all there is to know before I get it. No doctor locally will prescribe it. I think it's better to watch and get as much feedback when it comes to something you are totally unfamiliar with. I won't even post how long it took to try SCD--that's because it was an investment and included watching Foodnetwork, learning to make yogurt, how to cook much more than fried chicken (at the time). It seemed way too overwhelming. Then someone told me how much he relied on it for several years and I decided to try it. > > I was on the LDN list several months before trying it, too. > > Also, it's hard to get your ass moving on finding a doctor if you think you > are going to need to search for one in your area. > > It took me a really long time to ask my doctor whether he would prescribe it or > not - because I assumed, based on his reaction to things like Genova Diagnostics > test, that he wouldn't. Guest guest
I get those Archway macaroons every single year. I've already received a bag--it's like everyone has heard this. There is a recipe by Martha for macaroons that is sooo good. Have to sub the sugar for honey and keep the water running because it's so sticky.
