liquid diet

I'm having issues with either a fissure, hemorrhoid, or something of that

nature. It was suggested (on another forum), that I go on a liquid diet to see

if that helps. Does anyone have any suggestions besides chicken broth and

gelatin? (I use Knox, I think that is OK- with orange juice?)

Has anyone done this before (liquid diet), and has it helped? How long should I

do it?

Thanks in advance!

About 6 months ago I was really sick and flaring really bad so I went on a

liquid diet for about 4 days. This is how I progressed through it.

Day 1 - Chicken broth only, beef/bone broth only, gelatin, and fresh steeped

ginger tea with honey

Day 2 - Chicken broth with just the veggies blended back into it, beef/bone

broth, gelatin, and fresh steeped ginger tea with honey

Day 3 - Chicken broth with everything blended back in including the chicken (the

immersion blender is a miracle for this), gelatin, fresh steeped ginger tea with

honey, green tea with honey and lemon

Day 4 - Same as Day 3

I know that's not a 100% liquid diet, but it worked so good for my tummy. After

day 4, I added in eggs and stopped pureeing the chicken soup. Then I slowly

added foods I knew I tolerated well. I was lucky and did this on a Thursday

through Monday so I didn't have to be at work so much during this liquid diet

time.
