MSM Powder is a natural mineral that should be in our food. However, cooking, freezing, microwaving, even the soil that the food is grown in-- has now been depleted of this mineral. We actually engineered it out of the soil. (They didn't think it was necessary.)

It is methylsulfonylmethane and is an essential mineral to promote normal cell growth. Here is the site where I order mine:

http://www.puremsm.com/details.htm

I found out about this at a yard sale-- where I ran into a man who asked me why a 48 yo woman was on oxygen. We got to talking, and he handed me a tape, a container of the MSM-- and names of people that have used it with incredible results. I figured what the heck-- it couldn't hurt me anymore than the other stuff I had. (This was at his house, so I knew he wasn't about to hand me something that was going to harm me.)

Listening to the tape--- one of the men had been in a serious auto accident, and had ended up with 3rd degree burns over 80+ percent of his body. He was told he wouldn't live-- and managed to fight back. He started taking MSM, and insisted they use the MSM cream on his skin-- and his healing time of the skin grafts was incredible, and the circulation back into those grafts made it possible for him to get thru this so much faster. It is truly an incredible story. (He speaks around the country on MSM now)

Even after the first spoonful I mixed into a glass of water, I ended up with my arthritis pain in my spine- going away within minutes. Now, I know I should use it multiple times each day-- so I do have both the capsules and the powder on hand- but I really like the powder. It works so quickly. I keep the capsules in the car, and if I'm out and about-- and find that I'm starting to hurt-- I can take a capsule or two- and it takes 20 mins or so for the pain to subside. If I wake up at night- and find that I'm in pain- I go fix a glass of MSM (I tsp per 1/4 cup water) and drink it-- then down a glass of water, and like I said- 10 mins and I will be able to go to sleep.

I was concerned, because I do have an allergy to sulfa-- but I have not had any allergic reaction to this. When I asked Don about it (my yardsale man) he explained that it is a different form- and that he's not heard of anyone being allergic to it.

I buy the 1lb containers and one lasts about a month. So not a bad investment. MSM is in the glucosomine/condrontin supplements that you get at Costco-- but I've not found that it works as well as the PUREMSM. It's made by the same people-- but I think it's the concentrate that helps-- its cut so much in what you get over the counter-- and the glucosomine hasn't helped me-- but the MSM does. So I figure why pay the extra and get less.

Hope this helps, do check out the site.

That small nerve fiber neuropathy is a bugger. The Neurontin has helped mine--somewhat. The good news is that the small nerve fibers can regenerate and heal.

One of the things I know helps me is the Norwegian Formula Neutrogena Body Lotion. It seems to calm the nerve ends down tremendously.

MSM is methylsulfonylmethane. It is a natural mineral that we've engineered out of our soil and crops. Cooking, microwaving, etc- take it totally out, so we are deficient. It is necessary for muscle, nerve, and vascular health.

I've had such great success with it, that I swear by it. A friend of mine that is on blood thinners and has that wonderful bruising and bleeding just below the skin, uses the cream on his arms-- and after just 3 days,-- those paper cuts that look so nasty, faded totally away. It is truly incredible.

This just gave me a thought, I bet the cream would help the small nerve fiber neuropathy-- hmm, I'll be ordering some of that- and letting you all know how it works.

Hi Tracie,That cream sounds interesting. SFN can be a bugger. I think it's the worst type of pain that I've ever felt...worse than childbirth (4 kids!). I'll ask my doctor about Neurontin. When it hurts I can't think straight. I found a paper about SFN online: Small fiber NeuropathyA Novel Finding in SarcoidosisIt was written by Elske Hoitsma as a thesisThe paper was very interesting. Thanks Tracie for all you do for us. Even when you're not feeling well, you are there for everyone else. You take care and make sure you get plenty of rest!!!Blessings,Beckytiodaat@... wrote: That small nerve fiber neuropathy is a bugger. The Neurontin has helped mine--somewhat. the MSM came today, took my first dose this evening. Wow!!! It sure is bitter. I mixed it with 1/4 cup of fruit punch juice. I usually don't like it but ita did help to cover some of the bitter taste.

I have to laugh at the bitter taste-- my taste is so far gone, I don't even have that reaction! On the container mine comes in, it says to add a pinch of sugar to overcome the bitterness. Mixing it in the juice would be doing the same thing! Good idea!

Take care,

Hugs,

Tracie

I’m

not sure if the capsules work the same, although I have notice a big difference

in my joint pain since taking the MSM I take it in the capsule form I get at

walmart or even King Soopers/Krogers, at first I took 1000mg twice a day, and

now I am taking 1500mg twice a day, a big difference in the joint pain, I wish

it worked on the neuro pain. Anyway just swallowing the capsule with all

the other drugs doesn’t seem to be a problem for me.

" gagged " on the MSM! I can usually get anything down, but even

A LOT of honey didn't do the job on this one! Sorry, Tracie, after 3

tries, I decided it wasn't meant to be.

I'll have you send me

your powder, and I'll send you some tablets--maybe that will work for you!

As for asparagus,

picked straight from the garden, rinsed, microwave for 3 minutes, with a touch

of butter and Mrs. Dash vege seasoning and it is wonderful! You can even

add it to the salad and top it with the dressing!!!!!!!!!!!!1
