Guest guest
, I know its a bad way to lose it but I bet you will lose a few after the surgery. I will be praying that all your health issues resolve after this procedure. She is scheduling me for an endometrial ablation, which is basically a procedure that permanently removes the endometrium lining of the uterus. Most women will never have a period again, some will have just light spotting. This will take care of the bleeding problems that sent me to the ER a couple of weeks ago. Part of the preparation for the procedure was to do a biopsy of my uterus to check for cancer, fibroids etc...very very painful procedure. She did that in the office today. Now I have to have an ultrasound done and then just wait for a date. It is done as outpatient surgery and I will be outta work for 2-3 days. But I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel and relief from this problem. Huggles
Guest guest
, I hope all goes well and you feel better soon. I had to have a biopsy of my cervix and that was also very, very painful. Good luck. Patty Riverside Diane Duenas wrote: Hi everyoneI finally had my appt with my gyn. Guest guest
... Did you have problems before the surgery, too? Or is this a new thing? My periods have been heavy since the surgery...but this last month takes the cake. I had my period at the regular time...it was pretty heavy and difficult, but not abnormal. That Sunday, I went back onto the Pill, which I had gone off of about 3 months prior to surgery. I was about 10 days into taking the PIll when I started spotting. The next day, I started bleeding. I bled for 11 days (and this started AFTER I was told I was anemic). I stopped bleeding on Friday, and finished my last pill for the month on Saturday. And then, voila, I started my period (normal time) on Monday night. So, essentially, I quit bleeding for two days. Now this may be caused by the Pill, combined with the extra estrogen in my system, I guess. But, is that kinda what went on with you? How long did you bleed? I'm not bleeding heavily enough to go to an ER. I get through a tampon every few hours...but there is definitely more than usual. I have Polycycstic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), but really haven't every had obvious cysts in my ovaries. I just have all of the hormonal markers, my mom had it...I have had some hair growth on my face, my periods have been irregular in the past, etc... They were perfectly normal for the first 10 years or so of my period...but then they started to be very irregular. Can you remind me of the history a bit? I want to compare notes.... Glad they have a remedy in mind. I assume you are all done with the kid thing? How are you feeling? Robynn Diane Duenas wrote: Hi everyoneI finally had my appt with my gyn. Guest guest
, I hope that in my post where I was asking you questions, I remembered to tell you how sorry i am that you are having to go through all of this. I've been a bit on the slef-centered side because of my own anemic thing...but I hope you know that I've been with you in spirit!!! Love you, and big hugs, RobynnPamela wrote: I'm glad to hear that you will soon have some muchneeded relief, Branda, but am saddened that you havehad such a rough time of it!
