Matt,So glad that is over with for you. What did they do? Was it to remove a sarcoid lesion from your eye or glaucoma or something else. Anyway, you take care and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.Beckybelltown_mac wrote: hi had my eye surgery yesterday- went well- Have limited eyesite restored- doc said to give it a month and then we will know if it is getting better or worse- just glad it is over with- MATT

Hi Becky- the surgery is not bad at all- I have had it

5 times now and never had any pain involved- I found

that if i day dream while they do it i dont even

realize it is going on - so think of something fun and

the time goes by faster- best of luck, let us know how

it went MATT

Hi Matt, thanks so much. Will let you know how it goes. But I feel better about it already! Becky,

Your Ophthalmologist will do what is called Lasar Iridectomy. The biggest complaint is that the light is bright,-- the actual lasar is virtually painless.

what he'll do is make an incision with the lasar beam that will open up the iris-- so that the pressure will decrease. It makes the iris of the eye look like you have a blank space instead of a full circle. It's tiny-- and will save your eyesight from the glaucoma damage.

I'll try to find some pictures that I used to have around here-- or find a site that can give you the info you need.

Take care, and know that this is a good thing. I know that the idea of anyone messing with our eyes is disconcerting-- and I also know that this is an excellant solution with excellant outcomes.

Tracie, Thanks for the info. You hit the nail on the head regarding having my eyes messed with. I'm such a poor eye candidate that I cringe with simple eye drops! I wear glasses and do not know how anyone can put contact lenses in! No kidding. Anyway, I see the hematologist today and my right eye will get lasered Monday and then the left eye next Thursday. You helped me to understand the process much better...thanks again.Blessings,Beckytiodaat@... wrote: Becky, Your Ophthalmologist will do what is called Lasar Iridectomy.
