Caryl,

Hi...I wrote to you about this already...I wonder if you are having the same problem as Colleen with not receiving my posts? bizarre.

Thank you so much for the clothes! I keep the black chenille sweater at work, because it's perfect for my newly found "cold spells" (part of the anemia, and part of losing all the extra body fat, I guess!)

The clothes are really cute...however, most of them are already way too big!!! I will need to pass them on to somebody who is in that size now! 12s are starting to be too big for me in pants...so in other things, even more. I think I'll bring them to the support group I'm starting, so that people can look at them and take them if they are the right size. Is that ok with you?

I haven't tried on the bathing suit yet...I'll try that on today.

Thanks again for sending them. In my other post, I asked you for the cost of postage, and told you I'd be pleased to send you the postage cost.

I'm doing fine...I'm 175 now, but people think I look like I'm 145. I barely look overweight anymore, and some think I don't look overweight at all...but I think those are people comparing me to the "old me".

For my part, I'd like to truly weigh 145 (the doctor's goal)...but would be even more thrilled to be at 135 (a personal goal...however, I'm not positive I've ever even weighed that at this height...I think the smallest I ever was 138, and that was like...for a day!) Size wise, I'd love to be an 8...dare I even hope to see size 6 someday? Who knows. I never thought I would because of my muscular frame...but I'm losing muscle bulk. Dr. Fisher said that typically speaking, it is impossible to build muscle at the same time as you lose fat. You can try to maintain your muscle, and working out helps...but really, unless you are eating enough calories to maintain your current weight...you can't really add muscle. He said that once I get down to my stabilized weight, I can start building muscle back...and with muscle memory, it should come back quickly...but more in a defined way, as opposed to a bulky way. it was bulky before for two

reasons: it was covered with fat...and the muscles in my body were constantly working out, carrying around 261 lbs.

So, here I am, just 14 lbs. away from losing 100 lbs. (taking my weight before I lost the 10%). He said it is entirely reasonable to expect to lose a full 100 lbs from point of surgery...which would mean 135. And then once I'm there...the exercising will convert fat to muscle...and I will probably be a smaller size even at that same weight. That explains all of the "before and after" journals you read on ObesityHelp.com. Invariably, someone reaches their "normal weight"...and maybe they want to lose more weight...or they are happy where they are..and then they stay at the same weight, but begin losing sizes. They start out at an 8 and go down to a 4, for example...yet their weight stays the same. That's probably because they are continuing their workouts...or even increasing them...and their muscle is coming back, and the fat is going away.

Anyway...how are you doing? I forgot...are you pre or post? How is your journey?

Caryl...while that's sweet of you to offer...don't you need to hold onto your skinny clothes for yourself? you'll be there faster than you realize, and then you'll be walking around naked!!!

I'm so excited for you. Do you have any reason to think you won't be accepted into the program? What is your BMI?

Well, ...as I am currently lying in my bed (God I love wireless and laptops) wearing Olivier's flannel button down Faconnable shirt--of course with tiny little thong underwear...can't forget the feminine side of me--I must say that cross-dressing is something I rather enjoy.....

Hee hee....

Now, the question is...do you want my size 12 and 14 and 16 skirts when you get down here? You'd look mighty cute in a little plaid skirt, given your ish genes....
