Guest guest
I didn't know it was this easy. I miss horseradish so much. Cocktail sauce was one of my fave things... I'd drink it right out of the serving dish. http://simplyrecipes.com/recipes/how_to_prepare_horseradish/
Guest guest
Yeah, I made some last year - and horse radish is antibacterial, too - but I couldn't get it to grind down as much in my cuisinart as it comes commercially. Misty... you didn't ASK! <g> Though I admit that I usually use powdered horseradish because I use it so sparingly (like in Hurricane Dressing, and remoulade sauce) that the powdered just lasts longer. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Do you get it powdered from penzey's? I was kinda scared to try powdered as it seems like they would add something to keep it from clumping. Thanks, Misty Kimble CD - No meds SCD - 23 months > >I didn't know it was this easy. I will acknowledge that I should have gotten a letter from Penzey's... and probably need to do so, but I started using the powdered horseradish in 2005, the year of the hurricanes (my Hurricane Dressing was thrown together as an emergency measure during Hurricane Cindy) and then, things have kind of not gotten more stable, what with my Mom's illnesses and mine. However, I can state that for my personal use, the Penzey's powdered horseradish has worked well. Guess I should get off my duff and contact them about a letter.... — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
