Do you schlep a yogurt maker? I have been feeling much better and I reckon once I get this sleep stuff figured out I will take up some invites to crash at some friends places and hang a bit (so new to me to be able to do this after so many miserable years) and also visit my family in Israel. This time I am planning on staying at my grandparents place for a while. I am also planning to be in New Orleans sometime in Feb to cheer my step sister running a half marathon! I have some traveling plans coming up and would like to bring the yogurt with me too. After reading a lot on the internet about what others on SCD have done, I decided to buy a cooler, put it in my suitcase and check it. In the cooler I packed ~6 ice packs, plus a whole pack of plastic ice cubes...I also put the yogurt in containers that had a ice layer in between the plastic (my husband found them -- know idea what brand, sorry) I packed enough yogurt to have ½ cup a day for 6 days. From the time my bag was packed till the time it was unpacked, I think the yogurt had been packed ~7-8 hours and everything was still cold. I think that approach would work for any US domestic flight. I'm not sure about longer flights though and how that would work. Maybe probiotics are best for that type of travel?
