Guest guest
I'm kind of in a mini-flare. I've got a tiny amount of B that I can't get rid of. I also wax and wane from a normal BM to a little C. I'm beginning to suspect that I'm sensitive to dairy or too much calcium, because this seems to happen when I take calcium supplements or eat dairy. I'm going to try a 3-day experiment with no dairy and see what happens. For calcium, I guess I'll eat a lot of broccoli and greens. Other than that, maybe I should scale back on the nuts. I'm eating a lot of homemade trail mix -and sometimes 2 almond flour muffins a day. I've been on the diet for 15 months now. Just a note that I've had much worse symptoms than this, I'm kind of back where I was six years ago when I first got diagnosed. I'd like to get rid of the B because I'm sensitive to the 5-ASA drugs. Rowasa and Canasa work, but both give me heart palpitations for some reason. So probably the next solution would be cortisone enemas or foam, which I'd like to avoid because I have osteopenia. I've been using the Carlson Vitamin E suppositories, but they don't seem to get rid of it completely. I've been contemplating the Vitamin E enema. Any suggestions you have would help.Thanks.--
Guest guest
Nuts are advanced. You could try omitting that first or at least reducing it. The easiest to digest (for some) is pecan butter. Whole nuts are definitely advanced. Hope you feel better, Debbie 40 cd I'm kind of in a mini-flare. Guest guest
I haven't been on nearly as long as you, and sadly I don't have any advice to make it better except what was already mentioned. Maybe try stage 1 or 2 foods for a few days and see if that helps. Maybe it could be the season? I got sick a week ago and i'm still in a flare from that which I can't seem to shake. So, you're not alone!-UC - 1 yearSCD - 3.5 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 4 pills 3 times a day - hopefully scd will help me get off these! If you're backing off, nut butters are easier to digest. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
