Guest guest
Sue I am soooooooooooo HAPPY for you!!!!! I was just switched on May 24th with Dr. Gagner also. Mt. Sinai does not supply any toiletries.... so bring your own. I also found my jeans were not at all comfortable to wear home due to the swelling in your stomach, so a large pair of sweats or shorts if it is hot would be best to wear home. Relax take it easy enjoy the next few weeks to get your home in order.......clean, pay bills. etc. You won't be able to do to much when you first come home. Guest guest
You won't be able to do to much when you first come home. Just what is the average a person takes off from work after surgery? I work about 5 hours a day, sitting all day. Eileen
Guest guest
OK Group- my approval is in and thank goodness I called the Drs office to check b/c they didn't receive a copy of it. I had to fax it to them- now my appointment for the preadmission tests are on June 18th and surgery on June 26- I am getting more impatient for the time to fly yet a little anxious- I have stayed pretty quiet until now because until I got that approval I was sort of holding my breath- any suggestions on getting ready or anything you guys think I should bring to the hospital that I may not think of- You guys have been so great to read- you are so informative it is a pleasure- Sue bmi 53 June 26, Dr Gagner Mt Sinai
Guest guest
Sue- Congrats on your approval & surgery date! I was an economic packer.. I took- Sam's club at&t phone card ($20 for 500 minutes) tongs (1.75 @wal-mart.. metal, so clean easily) depends wipes (bigger than baby wipes, less expensive) chapstick sugar free hard candies(helps w/dry mouth while you can't drink) lotion robe slippers a book a gameboy & wore to surgery what I planned to go home in.. I also got my hair french-braided up into a bunlike updo that looked nice, kept my hair out of central line dressings, meant I could stagger about w/out worrying that I looked like a wildhaired maniac while walking the halls.. its braided so tight that its been slept in for going on 6 days and has been washed twice. A great choice, in my book. Just my .02 cents, Hugs, Liane postop Lap DS and gallbladder & appendix removal 5/30/01 Dr. Warden > OK Group- my approval is in and thank goodness I called the Drs office to check b/c they didn't receive a copy of it. Guest guest
Hi Sue I'm going for a consulation at Mt. Sinai in August. I'll be talking with a Dr. Inabet and I'm wondering how your consul went. Also, congrats on getting approved. I hope it goes well and when you come out, let me know how well they treated you there Cindy cinloo59@...
