Please ask your brilliant comp pharmacist why I get deathly sick for days after ingesting anything with bifidus if it's so wonderful. I do great with s. boulardii and acidophilus, the two SCD-legal probiotics. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
thanks marilyn - he understands gf sugar free and being scd but is a real yeast guy and that part of scd , he can't understand - he agrees with the s boullardi but like i said for lower issues doesn't believe it can be helped with acid.... - any literature anywhere explaining elaine or haas's thoughts on why no bifidus??? Guest guest
Eileen, Have him pick up Dr's Haas's work " Management of Celiac Disease " Digestive Wellness sells it. It is hard for the none gut suffering practitioners to understand this notion of Bifidus over-growing.. I reckon Elaine got a lot of her info from Haas's work and then did her own digging. If only Bifidus was the answer to our problems, it would be lovely. I wish it were that simple. Guest guest
Thanks for the Hanukah wishes Eileen.. BTW- it is not supposed to be easy when we scratch the surface to get to a more deeper level of meaning and reality. I see us on SCD constantly weeding through the noise of advertising, big pharma and the SAD. So we have to go back to " real " research and not just research backed by the NIH or funded by big pharma. Isn't it curious that these new generation probiotics are all patented and owned by big business and big pharma? They even give it the best types of hooky names like " Bifidus Regularis " " Uhh, ohh this drink will make me regular! Guest guest
I saw a box of sugary cereal with the statement " helps immunity " - sugar coated cr*p with probiotics. They are also putting " probiotics " in baby food. Are we raising the next generation of gut issues? Guest guest
PJ, It's really crazy with what they get away with.. Start learning about the term " organic " that is another one full of doublespeak.
