Hello, (1) I had thoughts to write for both of you Connie & Tracie. Nothing negative though. Except for one thing I forgot what I was going to write. I didn't take any notes down anyway. Tracie, the one thing about that depression that comes intermittenly, is I don't seek to have it. It just comes and goes when it wants. Tracie, unrelated to that subject: do you have that information about getting free drugs? You mentioned this before and should had written this down to use this and see if I could have that service in getting medcial care through the V.A. (2) I have had checked the Obituaries & Memorials in the Grand Rapids Press (same newspaper in this area we deliver) to see if anyone ever has passed away from Sarcoidosis in this part of the state. Last Friday; October 27, 2006 there was Obituary of a lady name Carolyn Van Asselt, age 65, that passed away from Sarcoidosis. This is the

first death I ever ran across in the newspaper in this area that passed away from sarcoid. I'll list some, not all what was printed in the paper. "Mrs. Carolyn Van Asselt, 65, began her Heavenly journey Thursday, October 26, 2006, after a courageous battle with Sarcoidosis. She was an incredibly dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by her husband of 44 years, Jim;" "Carolyn loved her hobbies and had a passion for reading, knitting and "fishing grandma" loved spoiling the grandkids." I sent an condolence to her family using an e-mail. I didn't asked if they would be interested or would accept e-mails from this support group. They may or may not would like alot of people send e-mails from all over the country or the world for that matter. Tracie, I just don't know how to go about this. Perhaps the in leuw of alot of e-mails being sent, perhaps of yourself on behalf of

everyone that read & writes into here. I'am on unchartered territory myself speaking that is when it comes to doing this sort of thing. I never met Carolyn nor her family. They lived in the Rockford area or somewhere up there (north) of this Grand Rapids, Mich area where I live. Condolences can still be sent until Friday by e-mail. E-mail address listed below through an funeral chapel. www.stegengafuneralchapel.com Bye,

That was so very kind of you to send an email to the family. I'm sure that her husband and kids will appreciate it. Thank you for letting us know- to my knowledge, she wasn't a member of the group-- but maybe she was a "lurker." We have alot of those that never come out of hiding. And that's ok.

As far as the drug assistance programs. The one i see on tv is the Partnership for Prescription Assistance. PPA. Here is the site address:

http://www.scbn.org

Toll free: 1-

Speak to a representative--they will want to know the names of all the meds you are on. So have them written down, the strength of the medication how you take them. For example: Neurontin 300mg, 4 times a day.

Explain that even though you have coverage thru VA-- that you can't afford the copay. Tell them also that your MD has not been willing or able to supply you with samples.

They may send you out an application-- and you should not have to pay anything to have them do this. If you find that the people you contact want money per each prescription-- look at other options. If you do a search by Prescription Assistance Programs, or by Partnership for Prescription Assistance== you'll get a gazillion choices to look at.

One of the best ways to search is to type in the words :

Prescription Assistance for (drug name--ie. Neurontin). So it would read:

Prescription Assistance for Neurontin.

The computer will then list up names of places to contact for free Neurontin.

Hope this helps,

Tracie
