Marla,

I've used a chiropractor for years now- on a weekly basis for help with my pain control. One of the most important ways for me to help keep some of the toxins out of my body is to make sure I'm well hydrated before I go in for my adjustment. Also, an increase in Vitamin C helps to detox the system, along with the Milk Thistle.

I know we all have a huge amount of toxins in our systems, not only from the sarc, but also with all the meds we're on.

Now don't get me wrong-- VITAMINS AND HERBS ARE NOT THE WHOLE ANSWER. They may help with some of the symptoms- but we're not sick because we didn't take our vitamins. We also didn't "think" our way into illness.

Do remember that you have years of toxins stored in your cells, in the synovial fluid that fills the myelin sheath that covers all the muscles and ligaments and spinal column, that when you get this moving, it will cause some reactions.

That is why when you do ANY form of detox, whether it's Vitamin C (which majorally will flush the lymphs) you have to go VERY, VERY SLOWLY.

If you try for the quick detox- you will put yourself into a health crisis. So, for those who are looking at Vitamin or Herbal Therapy-- do so under the guidance of an DO--Doctor of Osteopath, or a Certified Homeopath. Massage can be a great healer also, but again- make sure the Massage Therapist is not only certified, but preferably has years of ongoing education- in lymphatic massage. (The ones that work for Hospices are great, they see alot of lymphatic toxic situations.)

For all of us, self treating can be dangerous. Consulting experts and even following their suggestions must be done with extreme caution. They are knowledgable in what they are doing, but none of education on sarcoidosis and so you will have more knowledge that most of them. So be careful.

Baby steps is all our systems can handle. Listen to your body.

With care,

Tracie
