Dear Friends,

The deadline for story submissions to Mito Memoirs has been extended

to August 1st, 2004. A few people expressed they needed more time to

write/re-word their stories.

It is not too late to be included in the project, if you so wish.

There is no length limit. You may include a photograph, or a poem...

Those included in the project will receive a free copy of Mito

Memoirs: A Journey Into Our Lives.

Thank you.

Dear Anne,

I am not really sure if I was aware of this or not or maybe my brain is

not working well. Is this a book written to help raise awareness about mito.

If so, I would love to be a participant.. I already have my story written on

my daughter's website at www.samya.org. I have 2 stories, one is a short

one and one is much longer and more informative. If I could, I would like to

submit the longer one along with a picture. What are the details and to what

e-mail address do I send it to. If it just as easy for the person to take my

story from the website and a picture (There are many on it) that is fine or

if I must submit it myself, please let me know.

Thanks,

Suhad Haddad -- Mom to Samya (Died 12-10-02 of Leigh's Synd.) & Leanna

with same disease.

Dear Suhad,

The book is to help raise awareness for mito and at this point, I am

going to ask some of my friends to place the book in their businesses

like drug stores, beauty/barber shops for more coverage. I have

gotten a few responses already about copies for doctor's offices to

have on hand for patients to read. The funds are going to the UMDF.

You are welcome to send in a long story and picture. Also poems are

acceptable too. The email address is memoir@ heartbeatsformito.org

(there is no space between the @ and heartbeatsformito.org)

I am revamping the website today through this weekend. It should be

back up and running as of Sunday afternoon.
