Guest guest
just wanted to send an update - most of you probably don't know me, but my name is amy and i had ds surgery with the incredible dr. k on april 13, 2001. since then i have lost 52 pounds, and am slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. i can't stress enough the need to make sure you drink enough fluids - 3 weeks out i wound up in urgent care getting an iv to rehydrate me. i have had a lot of problems with nausea and throwing up, but with time and medication it has improved. the meds that have worked to help with my nausea are phenergan, compazine and reglan. i wish everyone well on their journey - i know that even with all the research i did, i still wasn't prepared for some of the things that have happened with me since my surgery, but then the thing that i tend to forget is that everyone is different in how they heal, how they handle the surgery and how their minds adapt. take care, all. ~amy~ >From: duodenalswitch >Reply-To: duodenalswitch >To: duodenalswitch >Subject: Digest Number 4184 >Date: 6 Jun 2001 18:32:40 -0000 > >---------------------------------------------------------------------- >
