Guest guest
I ended up ordering from The All Day Chemist (quite a bit cheaper then River Pharmacy in Canada). Should be here in a couple of weeks :-). Here are a couple of my questions: 1. What can you take for pain? I've been having headaches for the past month (only on the left side). After a few day reprieve, they're back with a vengeance :-(. 2. Do you take LDN right before you go to bed? 3. How long does it stay in your system, in the off chance I would need to stop it? Thank you! I'm really hoping that LDN will solve my energy problems. Any improvement at all would be a blessing! I'm a little nervous going at this on my own, but it shouldn't be any worse then doing Humira on my own (my old GI mysteriously went incommunicado as soon as I went on it). I'm not on steroids or pain pills, and have been off Humira since mid-September. Hopefully that means all will go well *knocks on wood*. I really wish I could find a good LDN FAQ though, because I haven't been able to find answers for some of my questions. > > Ask all your questions about it on the LDN list. Guest guest
Hi Holly Here is a list of medication that you CANNOT take with LDN. As long as you do not take any pain medication that are narcotics you will be fine.Drugs Not To Take With LDNLDN will block the analgesic effects of any opiate drug. This is a list of drugs, over the counter meds and some street drugs that shouldn’t be taken with LDN. They include but are not limited to:6MP – Need to be off 1 weekAcetyldihydrocodoneActifed with Codeine Cough Syrup ®Actiq ®Alfenta ®AlfentinilAmbenylAmogel PG ®Antibuse ®Aspirin with CodeineAstramorph PF ®AvonexBetaseronBroncholate CSBuprenex ®BuprenorphineButorphanolCapital and Codeine Oral SolutionCatapres ®CellceptCesamet ®CheracolClonidineCodeineCodinal PH ®Darvocet ®DeconsalDemerol ®Diabismul ®DiamorphineDihydrocodeineDilaudid ®Dimetane-DC Cough Syrup ®DiphenoxylateDisulfiramDodaDolophine ®Donnagel-PG ®Dovolex ®Dronabinol, THCDuragesic ®Duramorph ®Emprin with Codeine ®Endocet ®Endocodone ®FentanylFentora ®Fioricet with Codeine ®Fiorinal with Codeine ®HeroinHumira – Need to stop 2 weeks beforeHycodan ®HydrocodoneHydromorphoneHyrocaneImidium AD ®Infantol Pink ®InfumorphIsoclor ExpectorantKadian ®Kaodene with Codeine®Kaodene with Paregoric ®LAAMLaudanumLevorphanolLevo-Dromoran ®LomotilLorcet ®Lortab ®Marinol ®Mellaril ®MeperidineMeperitab ®MethadoneMethadose ®MethotrexateMorphineM-OxyMSIR ®Nabilone ®NalbuphineNaloxone ®NorcoNovahistine DH ®Novahistine ExpectorantNovantroneNubain ®Nucofed ExpectorantNumorpan ®Numorphone ®OMSOpana ®OpiumOramorphOxycodoneOxycontinOxyIROxymorphoneParacodine ®ParegoricPar-Glycerol-C (CV)PentazocinePercocet ®Percodan ®PethidinePediacof ®Phenaphen with Codeine ®Phenergan with Codeine ®Phenergan VC ®Poly-HistinePromethazine VC with CodeinePropoxypheneRebifRemicade – Must be off 50 daysRemifentinilRescudoseRobitussin A-C ®Robitussin DAC ®RoxanolRoxicodone ®Soma with CodeineStadol ®Sublimaze ®SuboxoneSubutrex ®Sufenta ®SufentinilTalwin ®ThioridazineTramadolTriaminic Expectorant with Codeine ®TussionexTussi-OrganidenTylenol with Codeine ®Tylenol with Codeine (#1, 2, 3, or 4)TyloxTysabriTussar-2 ®Tussar SF ®Ultiva ®UltramVicodin ®VicoprofenXodolZydoneIt is necessary to discontinue any opiate-like drug for 10 days to two weeks prior to starting LDN. If you should take an opiate type drug while taking LDN their effects will cancel each other out. If you will be needing surgery, you should not take LDN for 24 to 48 hours previously. You may then resume the LDN 24 to 48 hours after the last dose of an opiate containing drug.Note: The list is only a representative sample of the prescription and non-prescription medications that contain codeine or morphine. There are also a few other drugs that are immune suppressants that it is advised that should not be combined with LDN. These include but are not limited to:AzathioprineBeta InterferonMethotrexateMitozantroneSteroids (may be used in doses of 5-10 mg if needed)It is important to submit to your doctor a full list of the drugs you are presently taking so that their compatibility may be assessed. LDN is only in your system for 4 hrs. You can take LDN anywhere between 9.00pm to 3.00 am. It does not have to be just before bed. A small minority of people even take it in the morning. Remember to shake it before use.
