Guest guest
Hello!! First of all I hope everyone is doing good. A great healthy day. I talked to Joey's GI doctor yesterday in St. Louis, Missouri. We have really been concidering doing a Fundoplitation. I think we decided it was too much of a risk because of airway issues. We would rather not take the gamble with Joey. He told me about a new procedure that they are only doing on adults right now...called EndoCinch. I'm sure there is a longer name for it!!! Where they actually go in with a Endo scope and use two stiches at the bottom of the stomach to help keep acid down. Sounds too easy I'm sure. Yet sounds much safer and easier. My doctor plans to do alittle research and find out first if it has ever been done on children then if it would be effected with Mito. Wouldn't that be great!!! Something so simple to make our babies lives that much easier. Have any of you ever heard of this or know anyone who has used this? Any help would be great!!!!!!! Tamara(Mommy of 5 year old Joey, unspecific Mito)Dakota age 10, starting to show soft signs of Mito, Stevie age 14 Healthy!!!
