Over the counter medications

Is there a list somewhere in the files of over-the-counter medications someone can take? Like Advil, Robitussin, etc. My husband had a headache the other day, and we weren't sure what he could take, so he just waited it out. Also, looks like herbs are okay. Like echinacea, elderberry, astragalus, etc.
