Guest guest
, I don't know if there's a list long enough for Sharon's complications, but she is definitely an exception to the rule and even with all of her complications, she has been a fighter! She had an infection that would not respond to treatment, allergic reaction to x-ray dye, etc, etc, etc finally resulting in a coma so her body could recover a little. She definitely has the will to live and even after all the trauma her body went through, she pulled through! I, like probably many of us, think about Sharon a lot and hope she's getting better everyday, but sometimes need to remember to act on it, so she knows! I bought get well cards for her and I sent one of them, but I have been meaning to keep in touch and keep in contact as she's bound to be going stir crazy even with all the work she has to do to fully recover! Thanks for the update, Alana! Guest guest
Anita, Thank you for the information. Wow, I'd have to say that would make me a little more frightened. I'm glad that she's on the road to recovery. One of the complications you mentioned was an allergic reaction to the dye. For things such as that, is there anything that can be done prior to the time that they need to use it to find out if one is allergic? I'm just trying to find out about as many of the " this could happen or this could happen " type things as possible so that I make sure to ask any and every question that I can to my doctor. I want to leave no stone unturned. Thanks again! > Sharon Baxter Golden Lady > > > > > > Sharon was well enough to be transferred to the Skilled Nursing > > > Facility CPMC East Campus,3698 California St. 94118 Room #629.The > > > phon # is . > > > Sharon's original surgery date was 2-12-01. Guest guest
, If I remember correctly the statistically probability of being allergic to that dye on top of all her other problems was greater than 1 in 1 million. I believe it was several million, but I don't remember the exact number. Guest guest
Hi, I'm glad to hear that Sharon is doing so much better! I have been following her progress, but I don't know what her situation was that made her so ill. Would someone be kind enough to fill me in on what happened? Thanks,Carol >From: mmagdeline@... >Reply-To: duodenalswitch >To: duodenalswitch >Subject: Sharon Baxter Golden Lady >Date: Thu, 07 Jun 2001 17:47:27 -0000 > >Sharon was well enough to be transferred to the Skilled Nursing >Facility CPMC East Campus,3698 California St. 94118 Room #629.The >phon # is . >Sharon's original surgery date was 2-12-01. Wish her the best from me-- Nan E-- I don't think I was posting before her switch, so she probably doesn't know who I am-- but that's okay-- they are good wishes anyway! ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
