Guest guest
On The Sunday Chat group we spoke about meds. Don't remember everyone I was chatting with but I just was wanted to clear up something we were chatting about. I had said that before I took any meds, I looked it up on the Internet to make sure that I could take it and some one also said that if you were sick enough you take anything that the doc give you. With my mind the with it is I didn't and don't think fast enough explain what I mean to say at the time. I have been given meds numerous times and has made a lot sicker, the last two times (1) I started wetting my bed and myself in public, really scary and really embarrassing, they said that was a very rare side effect (2) they gave another variation of the the same meds....and stupid me I took it not thinking.(of course) I usually ride a scooter and almost got arrested for drunk diving... ME... on a scooter I have never had a drink in my life, but the medication made me see double fall a sleep on the spot ran into a fence, a tree, stop dead in the middle of a busy street and all sort of weird scary stuff, had to get HandiTransit to come pick me up. That is the reason I look it up anything I take, to make sure that it is not in the same family of meds, not because I'm not sick enough, just don't want to get any sicker than I already am. thats all .Shyrose "You cannot do a kindness too soon. because you never know how soon it will be too late." Guest guest
, I think you misunderstood, when there are more than one person in the chat room, something that can be said in responds to someone else that is chatting and totally not be referring to you at the time, this comment " and some one also said that if you were sick enough you take anything that the doc give you," isn't exactly what was said, what was said is that when one is sick enough they will "TRY" what every treatment the doctor's want you to.. that doesn't mean you have to, nor does it imply that you have too. I was speaking of myself, when I first got sick, I would have "TRIED" anything, at that time.. however as time goes by we learn a word that is one of the first words that is taught to us by our mothers.."NO" if its something we are not willing to try.. I am not personally willing to go back on Pred, so when that word is brought up to me I simply reply "NO!" There are no judgements made by whatever medical path that you choose, that's you're body, your decision, and I nor anyone else has any right to criticize you for that. We discussed a lot on Sunday, and there where more people there than usual, it takes a bit of catching on, and you have to be careful who is talking to who.. maybe we should address each other by name before we make a comment to prevent any misunderstanding.. just something to think about.. Anyway, thank you for coming to the chat room and I hope you will be a regular part of that group.. We all have different experiences with this disease, with medical professionals, and we have differences of opinions as what type of therapies work and don't.. We need to remember this is a support group, not a place to dictate to others, that they should eat veggies, take vitamins, herbs, or remicaide.. We are all different people and what works for one may not work for another.. Whatever you choose I support you! And I hope that we all stay true to this.. Guest guest
Hi TheresaI guess I did... and I if I upset anyone I did not mean to. I does get a bit confusing in chat trying to keep track with everyone, I guess that's why I don't usually talk on the phone or say much in groups or forums. I don't multi task well anymore. Guest guest
, you haven't upset anyone. Just trying to let you know that it did get cofusing in the chat room with who was speaking to whom, and that no one thought a thing about your comment, and I didn't want you to think I thought it was ok, for anyone just to try any and everything.. its our own decision as to what we will and won't take.. and what we will and won't do.. Don't worry about it another minute.. I really look forward to hopefully talking to you in the chat room, that was a good lesson for us that we need to address whom we are speaking to, so that their won't be any confusion. I was confused myself as to if someone was speaking to me or not.. Big Hugs, > > Hi Theresa > > I guess I did... and I if I upset anyone I did not mean to.
